Claude Albana Presset

1952-55studied painting at the Beaux Arts in Geneva
1954work in Paul Bonifas' studio.
1954-55studies ceramics at the Arts Décoratifs de Genève.
1960-61studies and works in the studio of Master potter Takeo Arakawa and under the direction of Professor Fujio Koyama.
1962Creation of a ceramics workshop in Chêne-Thônex and construction of several wood-fired kilns. Member of the International Academy of Ceramic. Member of the Swiss Ceramic society.
1968-99teaches ceramics at the Arts Décoratifs de Genève.
1978internship in Grande Kabylie with Berber potters.
1988participation in the Keeshkemet International Ceramics Symposium in Hungary (salt firing).
1996internship in Egypt (Fayoum) to research lustres.
1997-99revival of a kiln and collaboration with Aboriginal potters on Melville Island north of Darwin.

2007-09Co-Production with Louk Vreeswijk for the film "voyage d'argile".
