Rare stoneware vase with matte red glaze. Copper red glaze, reductive firing at 1280°C. Copper reds are Edouard Chapallaz's specialty. This matt-glazed, slightly speckled vase is particularly rare in the artist's output. Its atypical turned form is perfectly executed with beautiful balance. Handwritten signature under the base, circa 1980-90. The ceramic is in perfect condition.
