Chairs "Schnurstuhl"
Iconic and rare chairs designed by Robert Haussmann in 1950 during the courses followed at the Kunstgewerbeschule of Zurich under the teaching of Mr. Willy Guhl.
This set of four chairs is the second series produced in about 400 pieces. The front leg of this series is assembled at right angles. On the first series, the assembly is at the mitre. Frame in black lacquered beech, seat and backrest in hemp rope. The chairs are entirely original from the '50s, they have some traces of wear. Produced in the workshops of Kurt Thut between 1955-1960. We do not separate the pair.
