A sculptural ceramic piece by Swiss artist Ursi Luginbühl. She studied under Magrit Linck from 1954 to 1957. In the late 1960s, she began a series of monochromatic black or white pieces—sculptural objects and wheel-thrown earthenware pieces inspired by the Bauhaus. She developed this minimalist series over several years, in part with her husband, Bernhard Luginbühl. Bronze casts were made of some of these pieces. In 1972, she participated in the Venice Biennale with her husband. The piece offered here consists of two parts with a white glaze. It is in excellent condition and signed on both parts with the artist’s monogram, circa 1970.
Dimensions: Height: 15 cm. Width: 35 cm.
